Biography
Ross MacIntyre is a Canadian bassist whose three-decade career reflects a deep engagement with jazz and beyond. His playing is featured on more than a hundred recordings, and he's contributed to 13 JUNO-nominated albums. Ross has had the opportunity to perform and record with many esteemed Canadian artists, such as Matt Dusk, Emilie-Claire Barlow, Heather Bambrick, Jesse Cook, Elizabeth Shepherd, Kellylee Evans, and Geoffrey Keezer. His adaptable musicianship has also led him to the pit orchestras of Mirvish productions, including The Lion King, Aladdin, and Phantom of the Opera. Ross currently serves as the bassist for the Shaw Festival.
